About Us

Tony’s Windows & Glass was founded in 1975 by native San Franciscan Tony Villarreal.

At an early age he worked as a grocer by helping his father Aurelio who owned a shop in the Fillmore district which later relocated to Mission St & 30th St named “La Morena.”
Tony was first introduced to woodworking by his grandfather Pascual, who taught Tony the privilege of working with his hands.
Tony fell in love with manufacturing and later worked in various fields of construction such as an Iron-worker and Laborer where he worked as a Foreman.

After obtaining the skills needed in industrial construction, he later founded Tony’s Windows & Glass.
Tony has contributed his career to providing the best quality craftsmanship in window manufacturing and innovation in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Have you ever wondered about the origins of the Tony's Windows logo?
In the 1950’s; among some of the famous-classic kid shows like Howdy Doody and The Mickey Mouse Club, the San Francisco Bay Area had George Lamont.
He had puppet characters like "Karl the Carrot" and "Scat the Cat." During segments he would teach kids how to draw. On this particular day he taught how to draw a cat.
Years later when the business opened, Tony drew the cat he learned to draw as a kid and polished it up by putting a broken glass and a window around the cat. Thus; the Tony's Windows cat was born.
George Lamont once called Tony's Windows & Glass for service. Tony told him about the cat. Tony didn't get the job.
